My previous post should not be interpreted as a cry for government intervention. I have stated clearly before that government manipulation of gas prices in the long run is not the answer. Look at my post as a defense of the term "gouging," which Ryan took umbrage with in his response. As any reasonable, educated individual will see, any fiscal quarterly profit that runs nine zeroes to the left of the decimal point in the black while the nation's economy hangs by the thread over the abyss called recession would be deemed "excessive," and the prices of the commodity or service exchanged can reasonably be called "gouging."
Just to put out any fires before they erupt.
