I think the reason you have been able, to date, to rate FDR's economic policy as an overall "success", yet still rip Obama, is simple. The justified admiration you have for FDR as a war time president, his many successes there, being at the helm when the US defeated literal evil, has allowed you more mental latitude (if that makes sense) on how you define "success" for FDR, than you have for Obama. That happens. It's happened to me.
You take WWII out of it (a mammoth take, I admit), and I think you would be here annihilating New Deal the same way you have (in its' premise and real time results) Obama's intiatives. And that's all I ever wanted to "win" here, your concession on FDR's economic policy, not his overall presidency.
