I'm posting no links, and I refuse to put any interviews up about this, but Oliver Stone is making a new movie/documentary series called The Secret History of America. His stated mission with this series is to put historical figures like Stalin, Hitler, McCarthy and Mao in "perspective" so that their actions can be better understood.
What I have read is that his Stalin episode will expound on the advances made to Soviet society under Stalin... economic gains, industrial growth, the expansion of political influence, and the complicity that the American Presidents exercised while it was going on.
If anyone was looking for a contemporary example of just what revisionism means in modern America, I'm quite confident this will be the one to watch.
