I got to see that new footage of Bhutto's murder on the BBC last night (late... WOW, were we busy at the joint!), and I thought I'd ask an obvious question to anyone that has seen the footage...
What in the HELL can Musharif hope to gain by covering up the actual CAUSE OF DEATH? He said she hit her head and died of a skull fracture, but the footage pretty clearly shows she was shot, probably in the back of the neck or head, while she was outside of the car. What can he hope to gain by this?
Is this simply a case of the WORST security detail on the Sub-Continent since Indira Ghandi got mowed down by her bodyguards... and THAT is what he is trying to hide? Does he hope to avert questions about WHY his hand-picked security detail let a pistol-packing madman AND a human bomb get within spitting distance of his biggest political rival? Or WHY that same detail allowed several hundred agitated supporters to mob the car she was riding in? Or WHY she was allowed out of the car at all, when they all KNEW she was the highest risk target within a 3,500 mile radius?
