Mark Steyn, a brilliant conservative commentator and writer, quipped in National Review today:
'Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country,' is a phrase that defined a generation of Democrats in 1960. In 2008 it reads: ask not what your country can do for you ... demand it.
So true.
