Enough rope to hang himself with, that was what he needed...

Rick Sanchez, of CNN anchor-infamy, has been fired for saying more stupid things... which was the only thing he ever seemed good at anyway.

Seems he was giving an interview on Sirius Radio, and complained that all the nation's media was controlled by Jews, and that front-line news anchors and commentators (like Jon Stewart, specifically) are bigots.

I'm telling you... CNN (and other outlets) are going to have to take a serious look at who they have presenting the "news" from now on. It can't be the pretty face, or the comforting voice, and nothing else... anymore. Cronkite, Reasoner, Frank Reynolds, Jennings (in his early years), Rather... all presented the news in a way that defined television journalism for 30 years (even though an anchor isn't, by definition, a journalist): as unbiased and plainly put as possible. I was especially fond of Frank Reynolds, and his rant at the mixed news he was getting at his desk concerning the condition of Reagan after Hinkley shot him. Not entirely unbiased I know... but passion and emotion are not always the same as "media bias".

Anyway... good riddance to bad television.
