Christians Need Not Apply

I'm going to lose my voice on this one ...

I am continually ASTOUNDED at the woeful ignorance that those in the media have of the history of this country. They have no understanding of the concept that while we are not a Christian nation, we are a nation of majority Christians, founded on governing principles and rule of law which draws heavily upon the Judeo-Christian value system.

We all here are aware of the rabid intolerance of all things Christian within our media culture - movies, television, stand up comedians, day time talk, magazines, news broadcasts - and their subsequent embracement of a culture of death. In fact, the only group left in which is acceptable to mock, ostracise and ridicule within the arena of entertainment and news are those that dare to go by the label "Christian." Ahhh - one caveat: the ridicule follows only if you are a practicing Christian, in a mainstream church. THEN you are not to be taken seriously by the likes of intellectual heavy weights such as, lets say, Matt Damon. Whom recently exclaimed in an entertainment news interview that quote, "I want to know if she believes that there were dinosaurs 4,000 years ago. I mean I really want to know that. Because she will have the nuclear codes."

... Uh huh. I see. Because she's a mainstream Christian she can't possibly have a grasp of science, and successfully weave that into her faith. Okay Bourne, go lube up for Affleck, he doesn't have Jen's booty anymore and I'm sure he could use you ... off you go now. And by the way, I don't recall you saying "you really want to know" if Obama thinks the US government invented and injected the black community with the AIDS virus, as "Reverend" Wright believes, or any other host of insane, from the pulpit ramblings ... but I digress ...don't keep Ben waiting on my account.

Whether its the ACLU going around breaking crosses off of graves, or ripping Christmas Trees out of the common rooms of Veterans Affairs hospital's (true story); or whether its the absolute mockery our elected leaders make of our shared faiths - see Ted Kennedy and Harry Reid - as if one can publicly believe and behave in the antithesis of his church's teachings and directives, and then with a straight face still identify one's self as a member of that faith without consequence to those whom you supposedly represent and the community at large. These three ring sophists of self promotion and self aggrandizement have watered down the public perception of what it means to be a Christian in this country. They are the bridge to our new culture of death.

So of course, when the opposing political party sees the energy and vigor one Sarah Palin injects into a Party reeling from bad approval ratings, they not only set out to defeat her, but destroy her. And wait - SHE'S A CHRISTIAN!!! Run North Hollywood, run Malibu and Greenwich Village! Run Seattle and San Fransisco, run for the hills - A CHRISTIAN IS COMING !!!

First they attempted to portray her as inexperienced - ooops - that caused too many painful reminders about the TOP of the other ticket. Then they went for personal scandal - "she fired her ex-brother-in-law state trooper over her sister's tough divorce." Oh wait, that's right - he tasered his ten-year old step son (the governor's nephew) and threatened the life of the governor's father. OOOOh, bad PR turn that one took for the ol' Obama clan ... so lets get off that in a hurry, the public might be sympathetic. BUT NOW WE GOT HER! She's a Christian! She tried to ban books, they say in faint whispers ... maybe even burn em'. She reads the Bible. She goes to Church, and low and behold she is opposed to the sacred cow of the left- WOMB INDUCED INFANTICIDE. And did you hear? She decided to KEEP a down syndrome baby rather then abort it. How could she be trusted to lead the nation when John -really old - McCain dies in office???, they scream!

Well, another intellectual heavy weight known the world over, whose name is whispered in concert with Hawking, Newton and Galileo ... Charlie Gibson, decided that he must discover if this strange creature he is told science has identified as a "Christian", believes that she and her son ARE ON A MISSION FROM GOD !!!!!!! Oh the humanity ... not another Christian in the White House! Pray tell, what will we all do? Bring forth the oracle says he! Toss down thy bones woman and read us our assuredly most bleak future!

It's on the right, part 2 I believe. Watch all 3 clips though, its well worth the effort. In the first clip, when she goes to energy and her experience regarding it (Titus's original point for putting her on the short list for VP's), what does Obama, forget Biden, what credentials does the TOP of their ticket have to match that? And it kills me that "experience" from a governor is in question when the top of the other ticket has been in the Senate for a grand total of 143 active legislative days! And bare in mind, these are clips provided by ABC News, and they are meant to capture her first response to a question and that first response only. The natural follow up comments of any conversation are clearly cut from these clips (but cut and all, I might add, it gives me more reassurance then listening to a continuous hour of Obama). Tomorrow night is the second half of the conversation - I assume a domestic focus, both our nation's and her family's.

Programming note: I think when she educates Charlie to the fact that it was a quote of Abraham Lincoln, he doesn't breathe to about the count of 5 one-thousand. Never mind she could have went on to describe FDR's 6 and a half minute prayer on live radio, with the nation, on D-Day. Or JFK's many statements that this is a land blessed by God, put here by God. Or that Eisenhower wrote a war memoir entitled "European Crusade." Or that those racist, white, homophobic, sexist, intolerant men which we call "The Founding Fathers" evoked "God" throughout our founding and most precious documents ... I mean what were all those guys thinking? That's crazy. I mean who are those men I've just mentioned to have a grasp on America and the role faith plays? What were they thinking - Matt Damon wasn't consulted!!!!!

Rant over.
