Projectile blathering ...

I've been thinking about "blame", given Jambo seemed more than mildly curious about the oil spill's culprit. And as "big oil" is set to be made the villain of the piece, I want to inject some reigns pulling common sense here. Do you know what I "blame" here more than any thing else? The vagaries of human endeavours. It some times yields bad fruit, sure, but that's the vigorish for not just standing around on the planet as a species. We are engaged in the constant enterprise of improving our own existence, so short of some criminal act or purposeful negligence, and even with it, we have to set our jaw to drilling domestically. Seriously, are we going to let this be the new 3 mile island of oil? 3 months ago even the current CIC was set to start drilling, so what now? Another few decades goes by before we wrestle to the ground our sheepish guilt of being the most dynamic economy in the world? I say no. It sucks that sea gulls and sea turtles are covered in oil, and a regional industry is at a stand still, but if we don't wipe clean our own hesitancy to sustain both our economic and combustible engines no inflatable buoy will separate China, India nor Russia from seeping into our first place status.
