I keep getting beat up about my spelling. It's bad, I know... really bad if I'm distracted or in a hurry. But on this I am right.
Guarantee is a VERB... the act of promising results to effort or intention. Example: "I guarantee that the job will be done by Friday."
Guaranty is a NOUN... the actual promise made, be it written, spoken or implied. Example: "This is a copy of our money-back guaranty."
Far be it from me to claim to never have confused the two in past posts or correspondence, but I will (and do) assert that "guaranty" IS a word, and it IS spelled correctly when using a "y" rather than "ee".
