City by the Bay

Badboy queried, "Have those freaks (San Fransisco) lost their mind?"

I'll start ... Jambo & Titus you jump in when I get hoarse.

In a word, yes. They have shed all pretenses of lucidity and did so some time ago. One could write a non-fiction work rivaling in length that of War and Peace on nothing but the counter intuitive policies, politics and people this city has produced. This is after all the same demon womb that spawned the likes of Nancy Pelosi. Seriously, they looked around and said this is the best we've got, and with a straight face (although "straight" figures little into the San Fransisco psyche). Not to mention the current mayor, Gavine Neusome, whom is by all accounts militantly pro-gay while clinging to the claim of heterosexuality. Forget the fact that he rides (no pun intended) prominently in the gay pride parade each year, Swarzchenegger nearly had to send state troopers to confront Nuesome some 12 months ago. Why? Long before the CA Supreme Court ruling he was issuing illegal marriage licenses to homosexual couples and marrying them - HIMSELF - on the steps of the city courthouse.

Add to this that a town famously associated with the US Navy now is infamously hostile towards all things military. Besides backing campus initiatives to eject military recruiters from every and all institute of higher learning within their municipality, the city council has prohibited allowing mothballed carriers and other vessels from becoming harbored as a museum in their ports - under the claim they choose not to honor war making nor those things that enable it.

Illegals? They've been a sanctuary city for decades, but other big cities claiming that policy should blush when compared with the SF record. This policy forbade city law enforcement from in any way shape or form attempting to ascertain a suspects legal status. You realize we're not talking about a cop walking up to a group of Hispanics and asking if they're here legally, rather we're talking about having a suspect already in custody, under arrest for a separate crime - not even then may law enforcement question nor research his or her legal status in this country. In addition they are prohibited by law from "dropping a dime" to ICE on any suspected illegal (even if he is already in custody for a nonrelated offense, including violent offenders), nor are they allowed to work in conjunction with INS in any coordinated way. This new policy you wrote of Badboy, I'll agree, has pushed their madness to a whole new level. From what I gather the city will even fly juvenile illegals accused of drug dealing back to their South of the border country of origin in order to avoid prosecution should a rouge DA actually try and do his job. Now think about that. The tax payer in the city of San Fransisco is paying the salary of the entire city DA's office so that he may punish criminal offenders. That same tax payer is funding flights for the escape of the criminally accused. And the city council is orchestrating both simultaneously. Their madness seems to know no end.

I have long been of the opinion that if Western Civilization as we know it is truly being pushed over the proverbial cliff, then San Fran is doing an awful lot of the shoving.
