Was "Mean Gene" in favor of the proposed House Bill's "tax breaks"? Or does he see them as the imaginary incentives that most rational people see them as, and thus one more reason to NOT vote for the House version?
I mean, he does go on about the need to "pay as we go" (hardly a Democrat's mantra), but $900 billion plus in fake tax breaks is NOT how it is going to get done.
By the way... as has been discussed in this group only a few short years ago (2001, I believe... the old "mailing list days")... Gene "G-Money" Taylor does, in fact, answer his mail. UNLIKE some senior Republicans I could mention that also at one point represented all of us in the US Senate...
