Remember when we were talking about movies (war movies) that need to be made? Or eras of fighting that need to be put to film? Both Jambo and I mentioned the lack of good WWI movies in the modern day, especially ones about dog fights.
Well, today I saw a good one. The Red Baron is a really good (possibly great, but I'll have to watch it again and read up on the history to see if it is accurate) movie about Manfred von Richthoven and his circus. I loved the people that played the German pilots... aristocratic-looking, wealthy young men who knew their lives could get snuffed out in a second, so they lived with no fears and no regrets, and were idolized by BOTH sides of the conflict. Truly, the last of the chevaliers (ritters, in German)...
Look for it, it's good.
