Friends, I am employed.
I got an offer from a local casino (well, kind of local... 50 miles away) for a suit job starting at 42k sometime in May.
I wish I could convey the sense of relief I am feeling right this minute. What a monkey off my back this is! Just knowing that all I have to do is see my unemployment insurance through to the end, and then I'll be back to work and off the dole makes me feel a thousand times better than I was just an hour ago.
So, needless to say, Mick and I are planning a man-sized drunk at the pub for anyone that cares to show up and throw back some porters and stouts sometime this week... I'll make sure to keep you all updated as things progress.

Big Fella, I feel ya. It gives me reason to be hopeful as well.
Since I obviously can't join you, I'll have to go out and get myself a nice stout to throw back in celebration.
