For the record ...

I am better off for having watched "Bush's War." So are you, and Jambo. However, our level of participation in the events of the day is on a level and at a point in which we can wash off the proverbial BS rather easily in order to actually gain something from it. Not everyone is that engaged, thus I felt compelled to spend some time doing just that in our public forum.

For me it further enlightened me on just how vital boots on the ground are no matter the technology we have, or the lethality of that technology. Marines on the street make a difference. However, much like those who view "An Inconvenient Truth", minus the level of insight into the other side of the argument, I think advocacy pieces such as Frontline's special can do a disservice to the annals of history. But knowing you two are more then capable of parsing BS from fact I will cease and desist from pointing out any & everything wrong with the piece .... and that Zappruder bit made me laugh out loud... he,he.

Since I mentioned Gore - did you catch any of his interview with 60 Minutes? The interview broad, Meridith Viera, asks him what he makes of the VERY impressive people (her words) on the other side of the scientific aisle that are skeptical of man induced global warming, i.e. the various PhD's, paleoclimatologists etc that say it is a hoax ... and he smirks and says, "At this point I think those who don't believe (note he says "believe", not read the data etc) are on the same fringe as those who think we faked the moon landing on a movie set or still think the earth is flat."

Now, does this sound like a man that is confident in his argument or otherwise encouraging debate to further his own cause (which is a fantastic way to further that cause assuming your argument is solid)? No. He wants the debate to be over. I know Gore is neither here nor there, and in this circle he certainly isn't taken seriously, but muck like Titus via Rumsfeld, I simply can't pass up the opportunity to verbally smack ol' Al boy around.... well, that and point out the unequivocal, undeniable, unimpeachable fact that despite betrothed plans to the contrary scheduled for mid summer,Titus is in fact GAY.
