Suggestions for Mac & co.

He should take a page from Eisenhower's book and start printing up the campaign buttons that read : "I BACK MAC", right now.

On a more serious note, I was reminded of two searing questions I would like asked of the Democrat leadership, every time they call for the an exit strategy or the troops to come home - I say "reminded" because that Mary Kay saleslady they call a madam speaker was on the air today refuting the president's call for them to get a defense budget done, noting once again their buzz phrase of an "open ended commitment."

So, each time they would ask about our exit strategy from Iraq, the GOP should ask, "What is your ENTRANCE strategy for the war on terror?"

And as they call for the troops to come home Mac should note, "They're more interested in when WE will leave Iraq then when the ENEMY will leave. The exit strategy is simple - victory."

I want to see him take this to them - their Iraq/war on terror position is indefensible in every measurable way, so make Obama constantly defend it and see his graceful tone slip into a doddering back track, as is the case every time he is confronted with the consequences of disengaging the enemy. Make him be specific in his responses. And this has nothing to do with partisanship, I'd take Joe Lieberman as a SecDef or VP in a heartbeat. It's just that as I see the Democrat party become more and more irreversibly invested in the disengagement of our battles, I realize just how many hundreds of thousands of lives - quite literally - are riding on this election. Imagine how concerned informed Iraqi's are, watching this presidential season? You think the three of us are tracking it closely - can you imagine 3 Iraqi versions of us sitting at home or in a cafe watching this? Taxes going up? Their concerned with getting their heads severed off if the wrong person gets elected here .....
