Another thought on "conservative light..."

A great example is Gene Taylor.

Not as conservative light, mind you. But Gene has never garnished the support of his party due to his conservative standing, and now is reaping the painful backlash against all things "blue" in a Congressional race that has no business being remotely close. Many of my less than informed co-workers are going to the polls and voting straight down Republican as a protest against Obama-Pelosi-Reid... And even though there is NO Democrat further from the shitstorm than Gene Taylor, he ends up splashed with the best of them.

Were he to shed the nominal (at BEST) claim as a Democrat and embrace the Republican that he really is, there would be NO campaign necessary in South Mississippi.
