Pillorying Paul

Having been attending to some familial necessities as of late, my name has been absent any posts. But rest assured, I'm up to speed in reading all those recent (and nice pace lads, really).

At any rate, I chimed in this morning to say just three things. One, it tickles me to no end that Titus has become more fiscally conservative than 2/3rds of the GOP leadership. Once upon a time in a casino far, far away he would of lambasted the $250k earner's "woes" (and did so to my face regarding the Reagan tax cuts). Secondly, (and this goes out to any reader, and anyone, anywhere) which "Paul" would you rather have in charge of your family's finances? Krugman or Ryan? Answer that and you've answered whose prescription is right for America. And third - the 4th installment of "The Pillars of the Earth" was FANTASTIC. It's not Spartacus, true. But it's a damn fine silver to that gold and the Tudors bronze.

Ok, I'm off to polish off a well deserved pint after OT ... oh, & by the way - I have a unique way of instantly distinguishing Brit players on my game from Aussies. As they saddle up next to base & I hear the accent, full of a "u" in color, I ask simply: "When was the Battle of Hastings?" If I get a glazed eye look, it's from the land down under and I quip, "never mind." If 1066 comes spilling out I tell the Manchester-ite my secret and ask, what else do you expect from a country founded by convicts? Hehe ... well ... one must humor himself from time to time.
