A word on our president ...

From CNN:
A proposed mosque to be built two blocks from the World Trade Center has little support nationwide, a new CNN/Opinion Research Corporation Poll suggests.

According to the new survey out Wednesday, nearly 70 percent of all Americans oppose the controversial plan to build the mosque just blocks away from the solemn site in lower Manhattan while just 29 percent favor the construction.

Broken down by party affiliation, 54 percent of Democrats oppose the plans while 82 percent of Republicans disapprove. Meanwhile, 70 percent of independents said they are against the proposal.

The poll also showed opposition did not vary widely by age.

"Support for the controversial project is slightly higher among younger Americans than older Americans, but even among those under the age of 50, six in ten oppose the plan," said CNN Polling Director Keating Holland.

The reason for my post title - forget undocumented workers, I have an undocumented president.

Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not what's now called a "birther." I do find it odd that the Commander-in-Chief won't simply produce his long form birth certificate & shut these people up, but I'm not prepared to say he wasn't born here. And without direct evidence on something that big, one can't make wild accusations.

No, when I say "undocumented" I mean all his various college term papers, records, grades, exposes he wrote, the confirmed days he sat in the Reverend Wright pews, and the sermons on those days, all of it sealed up tighter than an Amish chastity belt. Why?

Here's why I ask - he has stated repeatedly his desire to "fundamentally transform" America. And be it health care, cap and trade, or the ground zero mosque, he has demonstrated the continual propensity to unhesitatingly insert thumb in eye of 2/3rds of the American people (he went out of his way to dress down, chide if you will, a majority of Americans for their bigoted arrogance) not to mention lose the House, in order to see it fulfilled.

So has any reporter, any one at all, asked the president publicly what his vision of a more perfect union is? What does the "perfect" America look like to Obama? Has anyone asked that basic question? If he could wave a magic wand and remake America into HIS vision, what would she look like?

And given he has not been asked nor answered that question in any specificity, I will guess. I think his revered Wright years, his policy initiatives, his various radical statements about what shaped his youth via his auto biography, the past associations (Bill Ayers, Saul Alinsky, Bernadine Dorn, etc, etc, etc) all point in one direction. And off camera, off the cuff, he lets slip: "spread the wealth around", "clinging to their guns and religion" - that's the president in presumably private moments. This while he must contort both face and tone when uttering phrases such as, "the writ of the founders must endure."

His direction, and how he expresses it, is getting, well, a little creepy to be honest.

Lately when he speaks, as it becomes clear he will lose the House based on his own unpopular agenda, I get the feeling he's on the witness stand. He's Jack Nicholson's character in A Few Good Men, and as the events of the day and issues that arise prosecute their case with Tom Cruise zeal, I feel as if he is building ... building ... building to the eruption - "you can't handle the truth!" And that's when the Communist Manifesto is whipped from pocket in gun slinger fashion and slammed on the desk.

But hey, maybe it's just me.
