To be fair and just, you did not say you "supported" such posters as I have provided above... but surely you've seen them. We all have, and several are the brainchildren of conservative radio talk show hosts that we've all listened to. My point was that (I'm being very specific here) had these sorts of posters presented themselves to your attention rather than the one that did... would the same level of outrage and anger have manifested?

I don't have a problem with these posters, any more than I have a problem with the HS/1492 poster. Satire is satire, and there is no overt racist or hate-filled message in any of these.
Your point that any cavalier use of such tragic events as the holocaust, 9/11, Stalin's purges, et al... are ethically wrong tells me that if THESE are wrong, then the HS/1492 poster is too, and the claim that Jackson should not be on the $20 is valid.
Thus, we'd all be in agreement... and the rage could be allowed to pass.
